XPRS
XPRS
AJ with a rocket that he put together using a couple of broken ones at XPRS. He used a hacksaw to take a few good parts and slid them onto the motor. This photo was taken after recovering it after it's J570 flight! He used motor ejection and a small chute..38mm min dia 34" long. The paint was burned off in areas after the flight!
Phantom 109
Phantom 109 was to see how small we could get a 54mm min dia rocket and still be set up for dual deployment. We also wanted to see just how fast we could push things. The rocket is 43" long 3.3 pounds without the motor. We used part of a spent K250 for the coupler/electronics bay. G-Wiz DLX 800 (special) Launched from a tower on a K1275 went to 19,936'... simmed at mach 1.98 and 46g's.. It too was recovered with  burned paint. One of our BEST flights yet!
